Export certification by an Official Veterinarian

Animals and animal products leaving Great Britain need a certificate checked and signed by an OV. Roxana certifies exports all over the world, for two kinds of clients.

For pet shippers

Export health certificates for dogs, cats and exotic pets. Most of this work is with pet shippers around Heathrow and Gatwick, examining animals at their premises or at the owner's home.

Pet export certificates

For manufacturers

Export health certificates for pet food and other products of animal origin: documents checked, the consignment inspected where required, and the certificate signed.

Certificates for animal products

Taking your own pet to the EU or Northern Ireland? You need an animal health certificate, which we can issue at home. The official rules are on GOV.UK.

Meet the vet

I'm Roxana, a veterinary surgeon and Official Veterinarian. Most of my work is export certification, for pet shippers and for manufacturers of pet food and animal products, which I sign for destinations all over the world.

I also visit dogs, cats and small pets at home, because many animals are calmer in their own house than in a clinic. You deal with me directly, from the first message to the certificate.

Questions people ask

More answers on the FAQ page.

Are you a qualified vet?

Yes. Roxana is a veterinary surgeon and an Official Veterinarian (OV), which means she can sign export and travel certificates. The practice is registered with the RCVS.

How much does it cost?

It depends on the certificate or the visit. Tell us what you need and we tell you the cost before anything is booked.

Do you do emergencies?

No. We don't offer emergency or weekend visits. In an emergency, call your nearest emergency vet clinic straight away.

Which days do you work?

Monday to Friday, by appointment. Export work is mostly early in the week and home visits mostly towards the end.

Can you issue an animal health certificate for my holiday?

Yes. As an Official Veterinarian, Roxana issues AHCs for dogs, cats and ferrets travelling to the EU or Northern Ireland.
